FAQs
Q. Where are you located?
A. Our farm is located in the beautiful rolling hills of Northumberland County Ontario. We're located between the towns of Warkworth, Hastings, and Campbellford in Trent Hills.
Q. Do you sell from your farm?
A. At this time we do not sell from our farm, but perhaps that will be something we'll offer in the near future!
Q. What is the shelf life of your products?
A. Our preserved items are shelf stable for 1 year when unopened. Once opened please refrigerate and consume within 6 months. Also, all of our fermented products (sauerkrauts and fermented cucumbers) must be kept refrigerated as they are a live probiotic product.
Q. Are your products gluten free, vegan, and/or lactose free?
A. All of our products are gluten free, vegan, and lactose free with the one exception, our Autumn Chutney, which is not gluten free due to the malted vinegar (wheat based).
Q. Are your products organic or local?
A. We primarily focus on local ingredients, letting the Ontario growing climate influence our selections. The main ingredients that we grow on our farm are local and organic as we do not use any chemical pesticides or fertilizers. When we are unable to grow all of our ingredients we source from trusted family, friend and neighbouring farms who have our high standards of fruit and vegetable production. They are not always strictly organic, but they do produce excellent quality local fruit and vegetables with ecologically sound practices.
Q. How can I tell if a store has what I am looking for?
A. Some stores carry our whole line of products, and some have a smaller selection. If you are looking for something specific, we recommend contacting the store directly to see if they have what you are looking for. If you are having difficulty finding what you are looking for, please do not hesitate to contact us! info@spadeandspoon.ca

Q. Do you ship outside of Ontario?
